How does the Karpowicz OSK-s/o scalder-dehairing machine work?
The pig carcass is placed into the machine’s working chamber, which is fitted with an internal heating jacket, immersing it in hot water at the appropriate temperature to loosen the hair follicles and prepare the skin for bristle removal. Two dehairing drums then mechanically remove the bristles from the surface of the carcass, while a side-mounted separator allows the bristles to be conveniently discharged from the machine. The finished carcass is removed from the chamber using an ejection mechanism.
Two openable lids allow carcasses to be loaded from either the front or the rear of the machine, improving workflow organization along the slaughter line.
