Product is fed into the packaging-forming zone, with film drawn directly from a reel — depending on the machine configuration, the reel can be fed from a top or bottom position. The continuous-motion sealing head, using long dwell technology, forms a hermetic seal capable of withstanding vacuum packaging cycles as well as modified atmosphere packaging (MAP). Variable cut-off length allows optimal use of film and automatic adjustment of pack size to the product being packaged, eliminating the need for pre-made bags.
